Goldberg’s February 10-13, 2008 Pre-Long Beach Sale #44 Results

Sale total: $10,201,996 Sold Lots, $12,830,700 Including Buy-backs
Both totals include the 15% buyer’s premium.

Over 900 registered bidders leaving mail and floor bids, with over 2000 registered bidders on Ebay Live.

US Coin Sessions:
“All US coins realized well beyond what we’d anticipated. The finest US coins in all metals were very, very active,” said Larry Goldberg.

World Coin Sessions:
There was interest in Czechoslovakian, Chinese, Russian, and Latin-American coinage. The Sami Assouline Collection of Modern Israel generated intense interest
on the floor and on Ebay live, with tokens, coins, and medals selling well above estimate bringing new record prices.

Currency: Colonial currency did very well, as did US Type Notes. The currency of Israel included in the Sami Assouline collection brought well over estimate.
