Dealers are reporting a major up tick in retail sales activity since the beginning of the year. Sales activity is strong in virtually every segment of the rare coin market. "Everything from colonials to gold coins to modern coins is selling very well," one dealer told us. Answer: Coin axis means turning the coin over top to bottom. The reverse side should show "right side up" when turned over in this manner. Medallic turn means turning the coin to its left or right and the reverse design will be right side up.
