The "late date" or "Braided Hair" Large cents are the last part of a much longer series that began in 1793. They can be collected either by themselves as a separate series or as part of the larger series of all Large Cents from 1793. Sometimes referred to as the "short set" of the Large cents, these coins are still quite a challenge in mint state and a fascinating group of coins in any grade.
