Gordon Wrubel: The finest recorded 1794 High Relief half cent, MS 66 BN, proudly displays a gorgeous light chocolate brown color. Its pristine surfaces exude full mint bloom, with nary a break. A halo of faded mint red peeps out from the complete, fully struck, obverse denticles and highlights LIBERTY and the date. The High Relief details are brought to their maximum by a very strong strike. Vein detail in the leaves, which some observers may not have ever seen before, leads one to wonder if this specimen had received more than one blow from the dies. This little half sister is an absolutely captivating work of art.
