David Hall: The 1954-D is about of equal rarity to the 1954 in MS65 condition, but it is much rarer than the 1954 (or the 1954-S) in Superb Gem MS66 or better condition. Like many of the D Mints of this era, marks and roughness of surfaces are an issue. Truly superb Gems are quite rare.
