Expert Comments

Jaime Hernandez: In 1973 the San Francisco Mint struck Uncirculated Eisenhower Dollars containing 40% silver. The coins were not issued for circulation but instead were sold to collectors at a slight premium.

Most 1973-S Uncirculated Eisenhower Dollars were struck in nice condition ranging from about MS64-MS67 condition. Examples in MS68 were much scarcer. In MS69 they are truly scarce with few examples confirmed.
