David Hall: The original mintage for 1937-S Boone is only 2,506 coins and although almost all of them survive and all the survivors are in MS63 to MS67 condition, this is obviously a scarce coin in an absolute sense. The 1937-S is slightly rarer than the 1937-D in all grades and both the 1937-S and 1937-D are considerably rarer than the higher mintage 1937 Philadelphia. The average grade of this issue is MS63 to MS67. Most 1937-S Boones have semi-frosty/semi-satiny luster and good eye appeal.
