CERTIFICATION#: 28672663
PCGS#: 39360

Owner's Comments

O.113a R2. Condition census example of the very difficult small stars variety of 1807. Terrific luster with nice appeal. "Moderately toned in splashes of sea-green and steel-gray. This lustrous and clashed half dollar is smooth save for faint grazes on the field beneath the scroll. Well struck except for the eagle's neck and left (facing) shoulder, which always seem to be indistinct on this variety. Among the finest O-113a examples. The top two pieces listed by Herrman are an NGC MS65 and a PCGS MS62," per Heritage cataloger.Crossed from an NGC MS63 holder by PCGS. Obtained from Heritage Auction #1189 on September 27, 2013, Lot 6425.
