David Akers (1975/88): This is one of the most underrated dates of the 1860's, particularly in choice condition. Despite the fact that the 1869 has the same number of auction records in our 238 catalogue survey in unc. as the 1867, I have seen more choice examples of the 1867 than I have of this date. I have also seen more choice uncs of both 1863 and 1864 than I have of the 1869.
