David Akers (1975/88): This date is very scarce in any condition and is particularly difficult to obtain in choice uncirculated condition. (I have seen a fair number of Unc-60 specimens, but only three Unc-65's.) This date is very similar in overall rarity to then 1863 but, in my experience, it is more rare in high grade (AU or unc.)
