Owner's Comments

B-3, BB-94. [R3+]. Ex. Amon Carter. Lovely gold, gray, and iridescent toning with some underlying lustre, especially around the devices. Sharply struck with strong design elements on both obverse and reverse. This is a very scarce variety with most in lower grades. The present example is among the top six known. In fact, the list of notable specimens in the 1993 Silver Dollar Encyclopedia listed one MS-60, one EF-45, and three EF-40 coins as the five finest known.
