Jaime Hernandez: The 1990-W Eisenhower Dollar was produced in order to commemorate the 100th birthday of Dwight Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States of America.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts two different images of Dwight Eisenhower. The portrait in the background is showing Eisenhower’s left side profile in his younger years when he was a Five Star General. The portrait above showing his right side profile depicts Eisenhower in his later years as President of the United States of America.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin illustrates Eisenhower’s retirement home. The two story retirement home is located in the Gettysburg National Historical site.
