The Lincoln Head design is the longest-running and most popular of all U.S. coin designs. Four short years from now, the series will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The complete date set consists of 96 coins, one from each year from the beginning of the series in 1909 all the way until today. This set contains examples of the Wheat Ear Reverse, the Memorial Reverse, and even the unusual Steel Cent from 1943. Completing the set is easy and relatively inexpensive, even in high grade. However, many of the early dates are true condition rarities, where full Red examples are often quite elusive. Many collectors got their start with Lincoln Cents, so this set is a homecoming of sorts. Relive the excitement of your first days as a collector with this fun and challenging set.
