There are 19 coins in each of the denominations from this Mint, but not all denominations were struck in the same year. For instance, there’s an 1885-CC Double Eagle, but no 1885-CC $5 or $10 pieces. The #1 rarity of the key dates is the famous 1870-CC $20. Only 3,789 pieces were struck, only 18 have been certified, and no coins have graded above AU50. There are no Mint State 1870-CC $10 pieces graded either, and only two Mint State $5 coins from that date, both certified as MS61. After you get past the first year of issue there are plenty of challenges left. A classic prize of the American West.
