Proof Gold has long been called the "Caviar of Numismatics," and if you've ever seen a gem Proof gold coin, it's easy to see why. While all proof gold is rare and expensive, the 1804 Plain 4, 1838 and the 1839/8 Type of 1838 proof Eagles easily top the list for this set. Other key dates include the 1875 and the pre-Civil War dates. However, in a set such as this, even the "common" dates are five-figure coins, so one must view rarity in that light.
Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
