This series features a new way to collect commemorative half dollars-in Proof! The golden age of commems (1892-1954) included only a few Proof coins, and those are extremely rare. Suddenly, there were nearly five million Proofs from the first issue of modern commems alone (1982). Examples with heavy cameo contrast and superb surfaces are becoming quite popular.
