This set begins with the "Proof-only" 1858 and continues through the final year of the series when the "Crime of ‘73" took place and many coin denominations disappeared. In 1866 the reverse design changed as the motto IN GOD WE TRUST was added. Even a single coin from this series makes for a numismatic treasure; a complete set is truly something to behold. Some dates are available (at times) with cameo and deep cameo devices, making these historic coins even more irresistible.
