The collection includes all of the modern commemorative Proofs, including the $5 and $10 gold pieces, the half dollars and the silver dollars. Many of these coins are still incredibly inexpensive, even in PR69 DCAM. A "starter set" of the first 20 coins or so will get you started, then, suddenly, you'll find yourself hooked on an intriguing modern series.
