Struck over a period of five years, at three mints, there are fifteen coins in the complete set of Arkansas Commemorative halves. Struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Statehood, the coin featured an Eagle on the obverse and the accolated heads of an Indian chief and a modern American girl. Mintages early on were fairly high, but dwindled as the years passed, so the scarcest issues will be the 1938 PDS and 1939 PDS coins.
