About this set: Gold coins of Edward VII (1901-1910) are frequently seen, and periodically proof examples (1902 only) are available for purchase. Nevertheless, this set in high grade proof is much more difficult to complete than one would imagine. Most proof examples, when seen, are PR61 and PR62. The PR64 grade designation represents the top pop as of the writing of these comments. The other interesting thing about this set in proof is that the coins have a matte proof finish, not the traditional highly polished mirror finish. Provenance: Ex Cosmicdebris Collection.
