About this set: B1 Reverse Hub is known as Long Arrow Varieties. In 1878, ten pairs of dies were sent from Philly to SF. The SF Mint start date of the nine B1 reverse Long Arrow Shaft varieties was April 8 1878. The central shaft of the arrows protrudes past the end of the feathers. This is sometimes referred to as the "Long Nock". The nine known varieties consist of marriages of at least five obverse and Eight reverse dies.
