About this set: My wife and I started this set a long time ago. We put it away in 2000, and have begun to complete it recently. All coins are toned, with most having rainbow peripheral color, tab toning or overall russet hues with iridescent blues and lavender showing through. Our goal is to complete the 50 piece set, without being grade or Registry Rank driven, rather eye appeal and color oriented. Special thanks should go out to U.S. Coins, in Houston, and of course Pinnacle Rarities, for most of the coins were purchased through them for obvious reasons. I would also like to thank Matt Powell who's hard work behind the camera has made the lovely images of the collection available so everyone can enjoy this set as much as we do. Feel free to contact me with any comments you have about this or any of my sets.

I really appreciated your making known how very fine collections can be assembled without being "grade and registry driven". I subscribe to the very same school of thought and have a classic commem type collection that ranges from ms63 and up. This makes putting one together possible for many more average collectors, not just the elite. We do enjoy theirs also, but the poorer among us ought to be able to partake as well. It is with that in mind, my set is affectionately entitled:"POBRECITO'S PLANCHETS" ! THANK YOU.

This is an underated collection and is worth viewing both for the pictures and the owner's comments! I think most of us would look down at a MS63; but, this collector has some nice ones!
