Welcome to the New, Improved, PCGS eZine

Ron Guth - October 6, 2006

Once a regular feature of our website, the PCGS eZine last appeared in April 2004. Some of you may remember those days when you looked forward to your bi-weekly email. You may have remained a loyal member ever since, wondering when the PCGS eZine would eventually be resurrected. Or, you may have joined us recently and wondered when you would see your first issue. Well, your wait has finally paid off and we hope you’ll enjoy this new and improved version.

The PCGS eZine is a wonderful way to communicate what’s happening here at the Professional Coin Grading Service. We plan on including timely articles by outside authors to give you a sense of how the coin market is doing and to learn about new and interesting ways to enjoy your hobby. We’ll provide news on PCGS services and current turnaround times. Expect to see articles on counterfeit detection, answers to frequently asked questions, interviews with famous numismatists, and discussions of issues facing our industry. We’ll even tell you about some of the intriguing coins that pass through our hands. In short, we plan to use the PCGS eZine as a tool to communicate more frequently and effectively with our collector and dealer base.

If you'd like to contribute or if there is something you'd like to see or know, please contact Ron Guth (PCGS President) at rguth@collectors.com.

Ron Guth is the President of the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). He has been active as a coin collector, dealer, writer and auctioneer since his introduction to numismatics in 1964.
