PCGS will offer a First Strike® option for the new First Spouse $10 gold coins
submitted to PCGS within the 30 day period following the official release date
or sent to PCGS in sealed packages postmarked on or before the deadline date.
The Mint’s announced release date for the Martha Washington First Spouse
$10 gold coin is July 5, making August 3 the tentative First Strike® deadline.
However, both dates are subject to change depending on the actual release date.
The First Strike® option will be available for both the Uncirculated and Proof
versions of the First Spouse $10 gold coins.
First Strike® coins feature a special insert that is different from the normal,
blue PCGS insert.
First Strike® coins may be submitted under Regular and higher service levels.
A $10 surcharge is added per coin for the First Strike® insert. Special pricing
is available through the PCGS Bulk Department for quantities of 20 or more coins.
First Strike® submissions may not be combined with any non-First Strike®
coins.
