Andrew Jackson - 7th Presidential Dollar Coin Released

The United States Mint has released the 7th Presidential Dollar coin in the Presidential Dollar Program. On August 14, 2008, in conjunction with the coin's scheduled release date the U.S. Mint held a ceremony in "The Hermitage" (Andrew Jackson's home) located in Nashville, Tennessee to promote the newly issued coins and the Presidential Dollar Program.

At the ceremony, anyone younger than 18 was given an Andrew Jackson Presidential Dollar coin. Also, there were additional Andrew Jackson Presidential dollar coins for exchange for anyone who wished to acquire the new Presidential dollar coins.

The U.S. Mint is also offering the coins directly to the public. The coins can be ordered in bags which contain 250 coins each for a price of $319.95. The coins can also be ordered in individual rolls for a price of $35.95 for each roll containing 25 coins.
