The United States Mint began offering the 2008 U.S. Silver Proof Sets on August 26, 2008. Each 2008 Silver Proof set contains 14 total coins which include the five final State Silver quarters for the Statehood Quarter Dollar Program.

Also, included in the set is a Kennedy half dollar and Roosevelt dime both made out of silver. Each set will also contain an example of a proof Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Sacagawea dollar and finally the four presidential dollar coins being issued in 2008.
