Legend Rare Coin Auctions to Present its Largest Regency Auction to Date

(Lincroft, NJ) – Legend Rare Coin Auctions (LRCA) is proud to present its largest auction to date as the official auctioneer for the PCGS Members Only Show at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas on the evening of Thursday, February 18, commencing at 4:30 PT / 7:30 ET.

The 484 lot auction begins with a world class offering of pattern coins, which kicks off with a gem example of both the Judd-58 and Judd-84 Gobrecht Dollars. A featured highlight of the pattern section is the finest certified example of the 1849 $10 designed by Charles Bouvet at the Paris mint, graded PR64 BN by PCGS, is unique as the only pattern struck for the US by a foreign mint.

An impressive selection of type coins include a gem Red 1912 Matte Proof cent, an 1872 3CS in PCGS MS67, a jewel-like 1796/5 half dime, a superb MS67 FH 1916 Standing Liberty 25C, a nearly Mint State 1803 Small 3 half dollar, and a glorious 1877 T$1 in PCGS MS65+.

One of our specialties, toned dollars, is anchored by a stunningly gorgeous 1882-S PCGS MS67+. Continuing with Morgan dollars, a lovely 1879-CC certified MS64 DMPL by PCGS begins an important offering that also includes an 1880-S in PCGS MS68+, a conditionally rare 1884-S in PCGS MS63, and a superb 3-D looking ultra-black and white 1898 in PR67+ DCAM.

A powerful grouping of gold coins include: a gem $2.50 1896 PR66+ DCAM, an uber-gem 1878 $3 in PCGS MS67+, a glittering 1890 $10 in PR65 DCAM PCGS, and a High Relief $20 in MS66. Rounding out the sale are classic commemorative half dollars highlighted by a spectacularly toned 1946 Iowa in MS68+ PCGS and a beautiful 1939-D Oregon in PCGS MS68+.
