ESM - The Number One Current Half Cents Sets (1831-1857)
Peter Miller has now completed his basic Half Cent set which, when he won the award last year for "Best Classic Set," was 96% complete. His variety set is now 92.31% complete, lacking only three coins. When reviewing his sets, you'll see the well-known pedigrees of Eliasberg, Garrett, Norweb, and Pittman. Peter is building what might be the finest collection of proof half cents ever. This is not an easy task as proofs are very rare. Looking at his sets, you'll see a number of coins that are graded Red and one Cameo thrown in for good measure! Many of his coins are the finest graded for the date. While you are at it, take a look at the ESM collection of Large Cents. Congratulations to Peter Miller for an outstanding numismatic achievement!

V2 Hot Tip
Additions to your inventory can be made in two ways. "Quick Add" can be used if you just have a few items to add. This function still allows you to send an email to the previous owner if the item is still being listed in his or her set. "Quick Add" is the box located at the bottom of the menu bar on the right side of the Registry. If you have large numbers of inventory to add, you might consider using the "Add Inventory" function which allows you to type, copy/paste, or scan by barcode many certification numbers at once. You can also allow the program to automatically populate sets which you have started. Once you've added new inventory you have the option to add your cost, source and coin description in one step.

2007 Additions
We are currently in the process of adding 2007 coinage to all U.S. "to date" sets. With the exception of the type sets, these coins will be optional until early 2008. Please allow us several weeks to complete these updates.

Our Readers Ask

Question: Does PCGS certify coins with counterstamps or is this considered damage?

Answer: Counterstamps are letters, words, or names punched into a coin after it leaves the Mint, therefore counterstamps are considered damage and PCGS will not certify such coins. The only exceptions are Trade Dollars with chop-marks, which PCGS does grade and certify.
