The Law Collection of Barber Dimes continues to dominate in the category. The collection was a winner in 2005, 2006 and 2007 for Best Classic Set for the Basic and Variety sets and in 2006 and 2007 for the Date and Proof sets. There are few coins that can be added to this collection to improve it. A large percentage of the coins in the sets are "Top Pops." Many of the coins are the single finest examples ever graded. At the time of the awards last year, the Basic set had a GPA of 66.36. Currently, the set is ranked at 66.47. Clearly, the owner of the Law Collection is bound and determined to reach his goal which is "to build the finest MS Barber Dime set possible."

V2 Hot Tip
There is now a "Quick Delete" box in addition to the "Quick Add" box on the right menu bar in "My Set Registry." You can delete single coins quickly from your inventory and all sets in which the item is registered by using the "Quick Delete." To remind you, however, if you wish to keep your set intact and in the All-Time Finest category, use the "Retire Set and Inventory" function in "My Sets" rather than "Quick Delete."

New Australian set composites recently added to the Registry:

  • Kookaburra Silver Dollars, Circulation Strikes (1992-present)
  • Kookaburra Silver Dollars, Proof (1992-2005)
  • Kookaburra Silver $5 Dollars, Circulation Strikes (1990-1991)
  • Kookaburra Silver $5 Dollars, Proof (1990-1991)

Quarterly Collectors Club Grading Special
In early 2007, the Mint introduced a new series of Presidential Dollar coins which featured a re-introduction of edge lettering, something collectors hadn't seen on coins since 1933. So, to commemorate this event, PCGS will accept any lettered edge U.S. coin for this quarter's Collectors Club Special. Possibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Half Cents and Large Cents (1793-1795)
  • Half Dollars (1794-1836)
  • Silver Dollars (1794-1803)
  • Saint Gaudens Double Eagles (1907-1933... yes, we'd be thrilled to certify your 1933 Double Eagle)
  • George Washington and John Adams Presidential Dollars (plain edge errors excepted)

This offer is valid for all Collectors Club members.
