PCGS Re-Offers First Strike Inserts to Collectors Club Members
Effective August 19, 2008, First Strike® inserts will once again be made available to members of the PCGS Collectors Club. This reverses a policy that went into effect on July 1, 2008, under which First Strike® inserts were limited to dealer submissions. Click here to read more.

PCGS Removes Fake Coins, Dies From Market
As part of its consumer protection measures, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) has purchased a half dozen coinage dies used to produce counterfeit Chinese coins. Which varieties does PCGS recognize for the 1936 Doubled Die cent?

Answer:
There are three varieties known for this date. PCGS will recognize all the three different varieties under the Variety Attribution service since they are listed in the Cherry Pickers Guide.

Additionally, the PCGS Population Report will reflect the population figures for coins submitted under Variety Attribution. For a free preview click here.
