PCGS at the ANA
By Don Willis

We are just a few days away from the numismatic event of the year. The summer ANA show is tops and a must attend event for all serious numismatists. I know of several collectors who plan their summer vacation around the ANA! You will have a chance to bid on several thousand coins offered in the Stacks-Bowers and Heritage auctions. The bourse floor will be packed with hundreds of dealers offering everything under the sun. If it's round and shiny and you collect it, you can probably find it at the ANA. If you have something to sell or buy the ANA is the place to be. All of us at PCGS look forward to seeing you there.

Please let us know how you are enjoying the PCGS eCollector.

PCGS at the ANA

Come by the PCGS table to participate in several fun events. Take the PCGS Grading Test and see how you stack up. Winners will be awarded prizes! Or check out the Walker Show Down where two of the finest Walkers sets will be displayed. This is a must for all Walker collectors! PCGS will be offering a couple specials as well. First, all TrueView photos at the show will be discounted to $10, regardless of value. Second, we will be making Mobile Coinfacts free throughout the show and pre-show. Go to m.pcgscoinfacts.com and you will have free access to all the content. Don't forget the annual PCGS Registry luncheon on Friday. There will be plenty of awards, announcements and a special presentation by Q. David Bowers and Scott Travers. Be sure to bring your invitation. Or, you can just stop by and say Hello. We will be there to discuss any and all issues. See you in Philadelphia!

75th Anniversary Silver Eagles

As this is written word is trickling in that some of these sets have already been shipped by the Mint. With an overall mintage approximately the same as last year's 25th Anniversary sets it will be interesting to see how the after market behaves. If you are considering having you coins graded you should know that PCGS has developed special labels for this set as well as special submission programs. PCGS ValueView™

One of the coolest developments to come out of PCGS' crack IT team is ValueView. ValueView is part of PCGS Coinfacts and is available for free to all subscribers. ValueView is exciting in that it is focused on a particular coin in a particular grade and displays everything you need to know about that coin on one easy to read page. ValueView presents coin/grade specific data including PCGS population and Price Guide as well as the last five auction appearances in both PCGS and NGC holders. Click on an auction appearance and you will see a photo of that coin (if available) and will be taken to the actual lot listing. ValueView is amazing and a must have for anyone buying and selling coins. For more information on ValueView go to Read More... To sign up for a free 10 day trial to PCGS Coinfacts go to Read More...
