Demand for High Quality Coins Continues as Market Maintains Strength
Dealers show concern that lack of fresh material may lead to market slowdown. Learn all about the "box theory" and remember who told you! Low pop Barber coinage in great demand along with beautifully toned type coins and commems. Bowers & Merena sale of the Lucien M. LaRiviere Cabinet is great success. The Expert's Corner
The Susan B. Anthony Mini-Dollar
Unique because of its size, the Susan B. Anthony dollar was a
circulation failure. There was confusion because the size was
too similar to a quarter. To add fuel to the fire, the dollar was
perceived to have less purchasing power due to a general resentment
against the current administration.

Our
Readers Ask
Question:
I was wondering if the paper used to wrap the state quarter rolls being shipped directly from the mint will harm the coins over a long period of time as paper tends to do. Is it recommended to leave them in the original wrap or remove them to a more secure environment such as an airtite holder?
Answer:I would recommend moving them into hard plastic tubes if you are wanting to continue storing them in roll form. Keep in mind, though, that many a beautifully toned coin occurred because the coins were kept in paper rolls.
