Territorial Gold
There are four Territorial Gold coins that are members of the PCGS Million Dollar
Coin Club, three of them privately held. They are:
1849 Cincinnati Mining & Trading Co. $5, XF40 (estimated grade) - $1,000,000.
The only known specimen is now in the Smithsonian after being donated by
the Lilly estate. PCGS Coin# 10125
1849 Pacific Company $10, AU50 (estimated grade) - $1,000,000.
There are four known examples and our experts feel the finest (the specimen from
the Virgil Brand collection) would bring $1 million today. PCGS Coin# 10305
1854 Kellogg & Co. $20, SP69 (PCGS grade) - $1,500,000. An
incredible Specimen/Proof striking in virtually perfect condition. PCGS Coin# 10223
1851 Humbert $50 Reeded Edge .887, PR64 (PCGS grade) - $2,500,000.
An absolutely amazing proof example of the famous $50 gold slug that was reportedly
from the personal holdings of Augustus Humbert. This coin sold in the 1980 Garrett
auction for a then-incredible $500,000. PCGS Coin# 10215
