Jaime Hernandez: The 2004-D Iowa Quarter was the fourth Quarter design issued in 2004. It is also the 29th design issued in the 50 State Quarter Program. The coins were officially released by the U.S. Mint on August 30, 2004.

The 2004-D Iowa Quarter is very common in circulated grades up to about MS66 grade. In MS67 it is scarcer but easily obtainable at a very small premium. In MS68 condition they are scarce but with enough searching collectors should be able to buy one raw or graded inexpensively. In MS69 condition or higher, they are very tough with less than a few dozen examples confirmed.
