Jaime Hernandez: The 1988-D Jefferson Nickel was produced in large quantities that examples of this date and mint mark are easily available, even from circulation. Examples in high condition such as Mint State MS65 and higher require lots of searching. In MS66 with the Full Steps characteristics it is almost impossible to find. Less than 100 examples are known. In MS67 Full Steps it is almost unheard of with less than a handful of examples known and none existing in any higher condition.
