Jaime Hernandez: The 1936 Proof Quarter has the lowest mintage in the entire Proof Washington Quarter series. This also happens to be the first year in which Proof Washington Quarters were struck.

The 1936 Proof Washington Quarter could have been ordered directly through the Mint as a single coin or in a Proof Set for that year. The 1936 Proof Set contained the Lincoln cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Walking Liberty Half Dollar as well as containing the 1936 Quarter in Proof format. The 1936 Proof Quarter also had the lowest mintage from all the different denominations issued in the 1936 Proof Set.
