Expert Comments

David Akers (1975/88): In the 226 catalogue auction survey, the 1890 was offered in proof exactly the same number of times as the 1889 in proof. However, it has been my experience that the 1890 proof is much more common and I have seen at least twice as many 1890's as I have 1889's.`
