Expert Comments

David Akers (1975/88): The 1882-CC is the most common Half Eagle from this Mint prior to 1891, and it is not particularly hard to locate in EF condition or less. Almost Uncirculated specimens, however, are very scarce and strictly uncirculated coins are quite rare.
