The Lincoln Cent series is replete with interesting and unusual varieties, such as the 1909-S/S (with a normal mintmark punched over a horizontal S!), the 1922 Plain Cent (here, we call it the 1922-D No D), the ever-popular 1955 Double Die Obverse, and others). These varieties add a lot of spiciness to the Lincoln Cents Basic Set of Circulation Strikes. Be warned, however -- this is a very competitive set, with several collectors attempting to assemble the finest collection in existence. However, it’s not too difficult to achieve a very high rating and you’ll be collecting some of the most popular coins in the world. The reaction of non-collectors to some of the more obvious and interesting varieties is priceless.
