Unusually toned and nice
David Hall: Though not a rarity in the absolute sense (a statement that can be made of all Boone commemoratives), the 1936-S is the rarest of the three 1936 issues. Virtually the entire 5,006 coin mintage was saved at the time of issue and almost all of the survivors grade MS63 to MS67. Luster for the 1936-S is the typical semi-frosty, semi-satiny "Boone" luster.
