This is a very difficult set to complete mainly because of the eagle and double eagle. The gold coins are all scarce to excessively rare with the silver issues more available. Although all gold Proofs are rarer than the silver issues, the eagle and double eagle of 1889 are excessively rare. However, once complete this Proof set is a real show stopper. Only a few numismatists have owned this numismatic caviar, not surprisingly, as only a few complete sets were sold in 1889.

Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
