1832 is fairly easy to complete except for the gold issues. The quarter eagle is available a couple of times a year, while the half eagle is about twice as rare, showing up only occasionally at auction or on the bourse floor. Both of these gold coins are in popular type series, so competition is quite intense when they do appear. All the copper and silver coins are available, however, and can be bought in various grades up to MS65. Higher grade coins, as with all early coins, are not often seen. This is a fabulous looking set when completed and the collector who is patient will be justly rewarded, as numismatists will flock to any exhibition of an 1832 Mint set.
