One would be hard-pressed to come up with a more prestigious set than a collection of Proof strikes of America's premier silver coin. One would also be hard-pressed to come up with a set with more challenges. As far as completion goes, only millionaires need apply. This set requires not one, but two 1804 Silver Dollars, probably American's best known rarity. And that is not even the rarest coin! The 1866 No Motto Dollar, of which only two are known, is thrown in for good measure. Toss in the 1885 Trade Dollar, and you have a set that contains four of America's rarest silver coins. Add to all this the fact that nearly all of the pre-1850 Proofs have populations in the single digits, and you end up with one of the most challenging sets in the entire registry. Even the so-called "common" Morgan Dollar Proofs from the 1880s and 1890s are not trivial acquisitions. Rest assured though, that even a very partially completed set is a significant accomplishment and worthy of serious admiration from your fellow hobbyists.
