In 1998, Russel Logan and John McCloskey published "Federal Half Dimes 1792-1837", a wonderful book that listed all the known die varieties in the early Half Dime series. This work not only reflected the existing interest in these diminuitive coins, but it also sparked an expansion of the number of collectors who appreciate the many interesting varieties found in this series.
