After a one year hiatus, production for the series began again, and the coin is still being produced today. The key dates of the series are the 1932-D and 1932-S. These low mintage coins are the only regular issues of the series that can be considered rare, but there are several varieties that have proved to be tough to locate and have become popular with collectors. The popularity of this series has EXPLODED since the statehood quarters were introduced in 1999.
