1812 Mint Set with Gold

Number of Required Coins : 3

Current Finest Possible Set Rating : 67.167

The tiny 1812 Copper and Silver Mint set contains only two coins. A Cent, and a Half Dollar. As neither are particularly rare, this is a set which can be completed with relative ease and moderate cost unless you must have high grade Mint State pieces. The lone gold coin is a Half Eagle and it is the last year for the Capped Bust Left design. While not quite as tough a type as the redesigned style that would appear the following year, it remains an early pre-1834 gold coin and as such, is never cheap.

Notes: This set has bonuses. Please see the Set Composition for a listing.
