1876 Proof Set

Number of Required Items

8
Current Finest Possible Set Rating

69.810

The non-gold Proof Set for 1876 contained eight coins, three in base metal and five in silver. Unlike the two years that followed, none of the coins were Proof only issues, and mintage quantities for the silver coins were fairly high at 1,150 pieces. This is a popular set due to it being the centennial of the nation's independence, and there is presently some competition on the PCGS set registry.
