New Orleans Dimes with Major Varieties, Circulation Strikes (1838-1909)

The New Orleans Mint was active from 1838 to 1861, and again from 1891 through 1909. The thirty year hiatus was of course due to the Civil War. While there are no extreme rarities, there are several tough dates in this 37 coin set. Among them are the 1838, 1840, 1843, 1845 and the scarcest of all, the 1860. In the Barber series, the 1895-O is another tough date. This set provides a good balance of easily obtainable coins with some moderate challenges.
