WB-44 The discovery coin with the previously unreported obverse 38 paired with Reverse W. This was the first reported unlisted S-Mint die marriage after the publication of Bill Bugert's classic tome-A Register of Liberty Seated Half Dollar Varieties Volume I, San Franciso Branch Mint. This was the second die marriage I personally discovered for the seated half dollar series, the other coin was also an 1876-S.
