1920 Mint Set with Gold

Current Finest Possible Set Rating

The 1920 Mint Set would be the last set until 1935 to include all five major circulating denominations, struck at all three mints. While none of the mintmarked issues can be considered "common" in high grade, the 1920-S Nickel in particular is a major condition rarity with only two pieces certified above MS-65. Three gold coins were struck in 1920, an Eagle and two Double Eagles. The San Francisco issues of each are "better dates" to say the least, and either will run to mid-five figures in low Mint State grade and well into six-figures in gem condition.
